Can I regulate the heat output from a gas fireplace to maintain a comfortable room temperature?

Yes. In fact, Elite Heate from Kozy Heat offers three different ways to keep you “kozy”. All Kozy Heat gas fireplaces are designed to operate with a thermostat control. Because our gas fireplaces are tested and comply with wall furnace standards, homeowners can set the desired room temperature using a thermostat and the fireplace will automatically turn on or off according to the desired temperature.

In addition, the #942 Direct Vent from Kozy Heat has an exterior heat by-pass damper that enables the homeowner to reduce the fireplace’s heat without reducing the flame height. Kozy Heat holds a patent on this unique, heat damper that enables you to enjoy the beauty of a full fire more often and for longer periods of time.
All Kozy Heat gas fireplaces come standard with a built-in high/low knob on the gas valve that enables you to vary the fireplace’s heat output by 10,000 BTU’s. Because you are varying the incoming gas, your flame height will naturally increase on the high setting and decrease on the low setting.
